“We will create an extended family where children are raised in the faith and experience, and wisdom is shared across generations.”
Christian formation is an important component of Concord’s mission, and so Sunday School is offered each week during the school year in an attractive environment by caring adults using engaging curriculums.
• Our younger class explores Bible stories using the Spark curriculum (www.wearesparkhouse.org ) and spends two Sundays in a row doing different activities that reinforce the story.
• Elementary age children also are taught from the Spark curriculum, but delve deeper into scripture and participate inrotation activities over five Sundays, learning about the Bible through Art, Music, Video, Science and Bible Skills & Games.
• Junior High students meet each Sunday to prepare for Confirmation and seek out the meaning of being Christian in the 21st century. Senior High youth join them the first Sunday of the month for breakfast and discussion on Christianity and the World.
• PreK-grade 5 meet for Music, first thing on Sunday mornings to learn songs, play instruments and prepare to sing and play in worship once a month.
