Pledge to Keep Your July Plastic Free
As we welcome the month of barbecues & hot weather, take a moment to think about all the plastic items you use every day. Understanding your consumption is the first step to reducing plastic use! Commit to changing your habits for the month of July & share the alternative you choose with friends using the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed hashtag #PlasticFree Watershed. For more info, check out the bipartisan federal effort to reduce waste in marine environments “Save Our Seas (SOS) 2.0.”

Youth Group Service Project - Thursday, July 18

Members of Concord Youth Group spent part of their morning on July 18 volunteering at Hanover Food Pantry. They helped serve breakfast, and handed out fresh produce and eggs, non-perishable items, and even Italian ices (perfect for a heat wave!).

Concord VBS

Children ages 3-9

If you would like to donate to snacks for VBS, please write your check to Concord Church, memo: 'VBS snacks' & place in the offering this Sunday, July 28.

Epiphany House
Service Opportunity!

Epiphany House is a transitional housing program run by Friendship House. The program provides a secure, home-like environment for women ready to work hard on their issues through a rigorous & holistic program. The goal is to help the women re-establish themselves as independent, self-supporting members of our society able to assume their responsibilities to their families, co-workers, & friends.
Concord members Judy Hayes & Torill Drury have made & shared meals with Epiphany House residents on the 4th Friday of each month for a number of years. Now they have stepped down & we are hopeful there is someone in the congregation who will feel called to step up & continue this outreach. This can be as simple as picking up pizzas to share when time is short! If you are interested in this activity, please contact Dottie Harding.

Worship Music & Arts Fund

Concord is blessed to have a wonderful music program that enhances our worship experience. Most of this is provided by our Chancel Choir, Youth Choir, member instrumentalists, & organist/accompanist Jeff DeVault, all under the leadership of Matthew Pressley. However, we also benefit from the strategic use of professional musicians. The brass at Easter, the contemporary ensemble for Gospel Sunday, & Barbara Prugh’s contribution to our Veterans Day service are all examples. Support for these additional musicians that enhance our worship life comes from the Music & Arts Fund. (The Concord Concert Fund is used exclusively for the Concert Series.) If we want to continue to experience these enhancements to our worship, the Music & Arts Fund needs to be replenished. Please consider making a contribution to keep this ministry vibrant.

Dear Members of Concord,

Thank you for all the prayers you said for Chuck while he was hospitalized - it meant a lot to our family. Also thank you for the love and support since his death. The flowers and the prayer shawl were truly appreciated. I was never alone in prayer as I had all of you!!

Love, Pat, Chip, Katie &
Carrie Armbruster
