The wilderness is a place of mystery and the unknown, requiring us to trust.
 Lent II - Blanket Sunday
Sunday, March 8
- 10:30am
Pastor Steve Clark preaching
For Sunday, READ John 3:1-17 and REFLECT: Nicodemus is confused by Jesus' teaching. Do you understand what Jesus is saying, or can you identify with Nicodemus' confusion? What question(s) would you want to ask Jesus to help you understand better his words? For Jesus' comment (v. 14) that Moses "lifted up the serpent in the wilderness," read the Old Testament story in Numbers 21:4-9. What parallel do you think Jesus is trying to make between that story and his own being "lifted up" on the cross?

Blanket Sunday Offering
will be received Sunday, March 8
during the Children's Sermon

You can help to “Blanket the World with Love” and provide blankets to people in need in this country and around the globe. Every year, Church World Service gives away many blankets, and they need your help to make this possible. For only $10, you can immediately provide a blanket for someone in need and help bring them warmth, shelter, and security. Concord has a long history of contributing to this cause and, with so many refugees around the world today, it is more vital than ever. Please give generously. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of children and families the world over.

Envelopes are available in the pews (make checks payable to Concord Church, memo: Blankets).
