Keeping you connected to the life and ministry of
Concord Presbyterian Church!

THIS SUNDAY, JULY 12 -

"Congregation Exchange" with Calvary Presbyterian Church

As a way of connecting with other congregations in our presbytery, and providing space for Pastor Steve to have a full week without worship or tech responsibilities, we will be taking part in a "congregation exchange" this Sunday, July 12, with Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. What that means: on July 12 we are invited to worship with the Calvary congregation through their online service. Details for how to connect will be sent out before Sunday. (To check out last week's service, visit the home page of their website for links.) FYI, Calvary's interim pastor, Tom Speers, was the presbytery's liaison to our Pastor Nominating Committee that ended up presenting Steve to us as candidate to be our pastor. FYI#2, the Calvary congregation will join Concord in our online service on July 26 so that Pastor Tom may have time away.

Pastor Steve will be out of the office until Monday, July 20 on vacation and study leave. For questions or access to the building in his absence, please contact Margaret in the Church Office (margaret.oboyle@concordpc.org, 302/654-9652). In the event of a pastoral emergency, Rev. Kathie Pownall can be reached at 302/373-7127.

Congregational Care Visits

Greetings to all,

If you are tired of staying at home and want to accompany me on some home visits [actually yard and porch and sidewalk visits], let me know. We set up a time with someone who would love to see some church faces - especially those with no internet capabilities to see YouTube or participate in Zoom or even to read email. We then figure out how the visit will work - through a window or door or porch stoop, etc.
We drive separately, wear masks, and do not go indoors. This is a real opportunity to bring joy to others and to experience it yourself. Let me know if you're interested, and we can talk.
Peace and love, Kathie

Concord Photo Gallery

If you have photos you'd be willing to share with your Concord family, please send them to Margaret. Show us how you're coping with social distancing and working from home, how you're worshiping, hobbies and activities you're involved with, special events, children or pets being adorable...! We'll try to share your photos in Concord Connects as space permits.
