Baptism of the Lord - Sunday, January 10
Pastor Steve Clark preaching

"This Is My Son" by Nancy Thompson

For this Sunday, READ Matthew 3:13-17 and REFLECT: What do you remember (or what have you been told) about your own baptism? In Matthew's account, as in all four Gospels, Jesus' baptism takes place at the beginning of his ministry. One way to think of it, then, is as God commissioning and empowering Jesus for his calling. As you think about your own baptism, what do you understand yourself to have been commissioned and empowered for? How has God's Spirit led you in the days since your baptism?
