Easter Sunday
April 4
Pastor Steve Clark preaching
Communion*, One Great Hour of
Sharing, Deacons' Fund
For this Sunday, READ Luke
24:1-16 and
REFLECT: As with Palm Sunday, although the
Easter story has become very familiar to many of us, the details of
that event are told differently by each of the Gospel writers. As
you read Luke's account, what do you notice that you hadn't
noticed before or perhaps had forgotten? What detail(s) of the
story as you remember it does Luke leave out? In Luke's telling of
the story, what do you hear as the main message? If you took that
message seriously, how would that affect how you live your life in
days ahead?

For over 70 years,
One Great Hour of Sharing has provided Presbyterians with a way
to share God's love with our neighbors in need around
the world.

In a world of
disaster, hunger, and oppression, millions of people lack access
to
sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation,
education, and opportunity.
The three
programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing - Presbyterian
Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and
Self-Development of People - all work in different ways to serve
individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster
response to ongoing community development, their work fits
together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.
You
can join in restoring hope, feeding the hungry, and
empowering the oppressed
through your contribution to One Great Hour of Sharing
this Easter season.
Checks
can be made payable to Concord, memo: OGHS.
Donations can also be made
online through Concord's website.

Easter
"Baskets"!

Since
we will not be gathering as a worshiping community this Easter,
the Spiritual Formation Team (Gayle Hazel, Heather Janas, Marcie
Jorgensen, Holly Reuther, Liz Rowe, Carly Twilley, Christina Pressley)
gathered in Concord's parking lot to assemble Easter pails and
bags for the children and youth of Concord Church. Our plan is to
deliver them to your homes on Good Friday. Please let Christina
know if you'll be out of town and need to arrange a different
drop-off/pickup from one of our team members.

of Hope
On
Monday evening, an outdoor service of remembrance for those who
have died of COVID-19 was held at Lutheran Church of the Good
Shepherd on Foulk Road. Following the service, luminaries were
