Sunday, July 31 @ 10:00am
Luke 12:13-21
Rev. Kathie Pownall preaching

This week’s scripture is about the “sensitive” subject of wealth. Questions to think about: Who helps you make your financial decisions? With whom do you share your financial information? In Luke 12:13-21, we read about a man who asked Jesus for help with a financial practice common at the time. Jesus answered him in the usual way by telling him a story. In the story the man speaks only to himself when considering his financial matters. He addresses himself as “Self.”
Who do you think God wants us to consult when we are making decisions about our wealth [or lack of]? How do you think those without extra abundance hear this parable? How do YOU hear it?

Join us for IN-PERSON WORSHIP on Sundays at 10:00am; doors open at 9:40am. We have developed guidelines for your safety, including encouraging (but not requiring) mask wearing and social distancing. Click here to read a complete list of these guidelines if you plan to attend. For those who are not yet ready or able to attend our service in person, a live-streamed/ recorded option is available on our website.

Children are always welcome in worship here at Concord.
Children's Sermons will continue during the summer, and there will be quiet activities
available in the back of the sanctuary that children may take to the pews during the service.
J.A.M. Session will resume in September.

Chancel Flowers

Donating the flower arrangement for the front of the sanctuary is a lovely way to honor or remember a family member or commemorate a special occasion. Following the service, you may choose to take the flowers home or leave them for delivery to one of our homebound members. August 28 and the month of September are still available. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office.

MUG & MUFFIN
Our weekly MUG & MUFFIN Bible study will be on hiatus until September. Please watch Concord Connects and the Sunday bulletin for the resumption of our weekly gatherings.

Through the end of August, the Church Office will be closed on Mondays
and open Tuesday-Friday, 10:30am-2:30pm.

Pastor Steve Clark will be out of the office for vacation and study leave July 15 - August 6.
We are grateful that Parish Associate Rev. Kathie Pownall is available to preach
and handle any pastoral emergencies that may arise.

Your Help Is Needed...

Fellowship & Refreshments following Worship
August 21, September 4 & 25

Just bring your smile and a simple snack - nothing fancy or homemade required! The Deacon in Charge will set up two tables on the lawn (weather permitting). Supplies for the fellowship time are kept in the narthex kitchenette. Set out cups, napkins, trash can, cold beverages (all provided by the church), your snack...and there you have it!
