"The Pearl" - Matthew 13:44-50
Pastor Eric Markman preaching

Join us this Sunday as we seek a pearl of great value and a treasure hidden in a field. As we explore both the joy and the challenge of faith. And as we explore ways to support Concord with our time, talent, and treasure. And don't forget to make and bring your pledge for 2025 next Sunday - November 17th.
Join us for IN-PERSON WORSHIP on Sunday at 10:00am; doors open at 9:40am.

J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) for younger learners

SUNDAY SEEKERS (middle/high schoolers)

are combining forces to…

NAVIGATE THE BIBLE!

SUNDAYS at 10:15am in the Fellowship Hall
(following Wondering Time)

DO YOU KNOW
…how many books are in the Bible?
…what they are called?
…who and what is in them?
…where/how you can find the Bible stories you have learned about?

Join us as we put on our detective hats, collect clues, and continue to search for the answers to these questions and so much more through games and using our ever-expanding deductive skills!

On Veterans Day (November 11, 2024), we thank and honor all those who have served
in the military – in wartime and in peacetime. Today our Concord family remembers
those veterans who have died and expresses our gratitude to all living veterans and
active-duty service men and women for the contributions and sacrifices they have made.

CHRISTMAS AT SEA
Seamen’s Center of Wilmington

The goal of the Christmas at Sea Program is to give a ditty box (a shoebox filled with gifts) to every seafarer arriving in Delaware during the holiday season. Last year the Seamen's Center provided gifts to over 1,000 mariners. The boxes are filled with essentials (all full-sized), a hand-knit hat and scarf, and a few goodies.

The Mission & Congregational Life Committee invite you to pick up a shoe box (list of items inside) in the back of the sanctuary on Sundays. We will also have some boxes available just outside the Church Office. We recommend you shop at your local Dollar Store to find the requested items at a very reasonable cost. If you cannot find all the items, don’t worry – we’re willing to provide the hard-to-find products.

Ditty Boxes should be brought to church by Sunday, November 24.
Your generosity is ALWAYS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

Please contact Dottie Lund (dottielund@comcast.net) or Marj Johnson (marjcj@comcast.net) with any questions.

Concord Photo Gallery

Show us your activities, vacations, special occasions, children or pets being adorable...! If you have photos you'd be willing to share with your Concord family, please send them to Margaret. We'll try to include your photos in Concord Connects as space permits.

Carol, Ron and Bob, thank you so much for everything you did to make the LWVNCC forum on Friday Oct 25 a success! The facility was amazing and the sound, slides and lighting were perfect!

The League believes that candidates for local elections do not always get the visibility to help voters make informed decisions. So we appreciate your giving up your evening to make it possible for us provide this valuable service to voters...

Thanks again,
Joyce Ford and Martha Gessler
LWVNCC

The co-chairs of the Guatemala Project for the New Castle Presbytery sent this note of thanks to Concord:
Thank you for organizing the opportunity for Pamela and Betsy to present at Concord. What a lovely evening, with an engaged audience! It was a perfect evening. Please thank Dottie (Lund) and all the folks who gave their time and clever hands to serve and clean up! Just a great opportunity for us to meet like minded folks.
      With much gratitude,
                  Cathy Higgins and Carrie Saathoff
