"A
Hook and a Hope" - Luke 5:1-11
Pastor Eric Markman
preaching
This Sunday we
find Jesus talking with a crowd near the edge of the Sea of Galilee
that has grown so large that he climbs onto the boat of local
fishermen. The scene unfolds with the men who have struggled all
day and caught nothing, suddenly at Jesus’ instruction have a catch
that begins to burst their nets. It is Peter who first recognizes
that Jesus is God and falls on his knees. Only minutes later Peter,
James, and John (all fishermen) leave their profession to
follow the one in which they have seen something they have never
seen before. Come join us this Sunday as we explore where God is
calling us.
Join us for
IN-PERSON WORSHIP on Sunday at 10:00am; doors open at

February
23 –
10:30am worship (note later time)
On this Sunday, we
honor and explore the rich heritage of authentic gospel music,
specifically African-American gospel music. As its name (“gospel”
means “good news”) implies, these songs traditionally emphasize
messages of hope amid struggle: that no matter the trial, sooner
or later the grace and justice of God will be delivered. Join us
for this special musical service.
