FIFTH SUNDAY IN LENT -
APRIL 6 @ 10:00am
Communion*, Deacons' Fund offering
"Choices" - Pastor Eric Markman preaching
We are coming
close to the final days of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem. This Sunday
we hear about a dinner that Jesus and his disciples enjoyed at the
home of Lazarus, Martha, and Mary just 6 days before the Passover
meal. Mary anoints Jesus with a very fragrant and costly oil and
wipes his feet with her hair. Judas complains that it was a waste
of money. And Jesus says Mary has prepared him for his death.
Powerful words and powerful actions. Perhaps the passage is asking
us what choices do we make everyday? Come and enjoy worship as
we prepare for Palm Sunday and Easter!
Join us for
IN-PERSON WORSHIP on Sunday at 10:00am; doors open at
9:40am.
To join in WORSHIP ONLINE this
Sunday, April 6, click on the picture above to go

the same picture to connect with the worship video. The worship
service will be available live at 10:00am Sunday morning or later
in the day to view at your convenience.
*This Sunday we will
celebrate the Lord's Supper as part of the service.
If joining us online, please have something ready
for eating and something ready for drinking.

Children
& Youth in Worship - Communion Sunday

This week is a
Communion Sunday, so we will not be meeting for J.A.M. or
Sunday Seekers. Children are invited to come forward for Wondering Time. After Wondering Time, children will stay in worship with
their families and take part in communion after the sermon. There
are quiet activities in the back of the Sanctuary that children
may take to the pews.

“On
the Road with Jesus!” Lent - 2025
Dear Members and
Friends,
Here is the Lenten series: “On the Road with Jesus.” To fully enjoy it you should find each
scripture lesson in the Bible, read it, and then read the short
commentary for that week. After the commentary there is a prayer.
After the prayer there is a link to a piece of music that
reflects that scripture for that week. Please enjoy this series,
and I hope it helps you on your journey with Jesus during
Lent.
Peace,
Pastor
Eric

Safety
Committee

Concord
Presbyterian Church and Preschool have emphasized safety for
many, many years. To stay safe, we have formed a Safety Committee
with representations from various church functions, led by Safety
Officer John Barineau. We can use volunteers, especially those
with prior safety experience, to participate in walk-around
safety inspections and ~quarterly Zoom safety committee sessions.
If interested,
please contact John Barineau at
barinejm@yahoo.com or (302) 545-1125.

Typically received during the season of
Lent, each gift to One Great Hour of Sharing supports efforts to
relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote
development through the Presbyterian Committee on the
Self-Development of People, and assist in areas of disaster through
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. All three programs work in
different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From
initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their
work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and
hope.
The
One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be received through Easter
Sunday. Envelopes are available in the pews or donate online.
When we all do a little, it adds up to a lot!
