Children & Youth in Worship - Communion Sunday

This week is a Communion Sunday, so we will not be meeting for J.A.M. or Sunday Seekers. Children are invited to come forward for a special STAR WARS Wondering Time. After Wondering Time, children will stay in worship with their families and take part in communion after the sermon. There are quiet activities in the back of the Sanctuary that children may take to the pews. And, of course, there will be a special STAR WARS procession at the end of worship, so feel free to wear a costume!

The Session has called a meeting of the congregation for Sunday, May 4 following worship to act on the recommendation of the Pastor Nominating Committee, including terms of call for the new pastor.
The congregational meeting will be in person and via Zoom. To join by Zoom, you must first close the YouTube connection following worship, then sign on using this link:

Come Meet the New Pastor Candidate

We are so excited that on Sunday, May 4th, Concord’s Pastor Candidate will preach and be part of the service! At a short congregational meeting after the service, the members will vote their acceptance of this person as the new pastor for Concord.

Come meet the candidate at a ‘Meet & Greet’ in Jessie’s Room on May 3rd from 2:00 – 5:00pm (open house style). Refreshments will be served. For those who cannot come in person, but would like to talk with the candidate, there will be a Zoom meeting at 5:00pm. Just contact Nancy Tucker (302-743-2047) for the link.

Due to privacy concerns regarding the candidate's current call, a full biography and statement of faith will not be sent to the congregation before May 3rd

Lasting drought has taken a toll on our Memorial Garden plants. We currently need to replace one rhododendron and two azaleas. If you have a loved one's remains in the Memorial Garden and would like to contribute a plant in their honor, please contact Dottie or Albert Lund. 302-230-1533 or 302-357-8318. We will purchase the plants and install them, so no work involved.
A dedication will be placed in the bulletin and Concord Connects if you wish.
